A program of Church of Scientology of Puerto Rico
About Extension Courses
Extension Courses is a program operated by Church of Scientology of Puerto Rico that provides structured, personally supervised study of the books and lectures of L. Ron Hubbard.
Students can study wherever they live, progress through a sequence of lessons, submit their work online, and receive personal review and guidance from a Course Supervisor. The program serves students in Puerto Rico and internationally as part of the Church's religious and educational activities.
Study from wherever you are
Extension Courses were created so that a person does not need to live near a Church or Mission to begin or continue studying the books and lectures of Dianetics and Scientology.
Each course provides a structured path through a particular book, lecture series, or body of material. Students can study from home at a steady pace while remaining in communication with a Course Supervisor.
Personal course supervision
Personal supervision is an important part of the Extension Course program. Students complete lessons based on the materials they are studying and submit their answers to a Course Supervisor.
The Supervisor reviews each lesson, communicates with the student, and helps ensure successful progress. The purpose is not simply to finish online exercises, but to help each student gain understanding and practical benefit from the material being studied.
A route through the books and lectures
One study can lead to the next.
Extension Courses can be taken individually, and they also form part of a broader progression through the books and lectures of L. Ron Hubbard. The Routes to Knowledge offer an organized way to explore these materials: begin with a subject that interests you or follow an entire route in sequence.

Serving Puerto Rico and students around the world
Extension Courses is operated by Church of Scientology of Puerto Rico and administered from Puerto Rico. The online program makes these courses available to students beyond the island wherever they can access their materials and communicate with their Course Supervisor.
Technology makes study possible at a distance, while the experience remains personal: each student has an individual course record, submitted lessons, and communication with course supervision.
